📘 What is DMARC?

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) helps protect your domain from spoofing, phishing, and other email-based attacks. It works with SPF and DKIM to ensure only authorized senders are allowed to send on your behalf.

🧩 Explanation of Tags

• p= — The main policy to apply (none, quarantine, reject)
• sp= — Subdomain policy (used for subdomains of your domain)
• adkim= / aspf= — Alignment modes for DKIM and SPF ("r" relaxed, "s" strict)
• rua= — Aggregate report email address (daily summaries)
• ruf= — Forensic report email address (per-message failures)
• pct= — Percentage of mail DMARC applies to (default is 100%)

🔧 How to Use

Once you’ve generated your record, add it to your domain’s DNS settings as a TXT record:

• Name: _dmarc.yourdomain.com
• Type: TXT
• Value: Paste the full DMARC record you generated above

Example:

_dmarc.example.com. IN TXT "v=DMARC1; p=reject; rua=mailto:reports@example.com; aspf=s; adkim=s"
